So Many Bars, So Little Time

I wrote a long whiney post yesterday about my 12 mile run and I’m still trying to decide whether to publish it or not. So, while I’m deciding, I’ll tell you about how much fun I had last night. Smile

Our friends Morgan and Don are in town visiting from Reno. (They’re getting married next May!)

Morgan owns a house here in Orlando and her renters just moved out, so she’s dealing with the mess they left behind. BB gunshot holes through windows, oily handprints all over the walls, and vomit stains on carpet that were never cleaned up meant she needed a drink. Good thing that’s my specialty!

We took a cab downtown and started at Ember.

We all ordered food to pretend we are civilized and don’t just drink alcohol for dinner. Hubs had the crab cakes, which were really good.

I got the boneless buffalo wings. But I don’t think they were wings because they were gigantic. Maybe they were boneless buffalo boulders. Ember should hire me to rename all their dishes. That was gold right there.

After dinner, we had more drinks and took pictures while we waited for Lisa to arrive.

You know why I love Morgan and Don? Because they know I have a blog and they still aren’t afraid to do this.

I don’t even know what’s happening there.

We were sitting right by a speaker in Ember and could barely hear each other. Also, the DJ was terrible. Usually I don’t notice bad DJs, so you know he sucked if I do. He needs to go back to Transitioning and Mixing Songs Together School. By the time Lisa arrived, we were ready to go somewhere else.

So, we left Ember in search for bar #2. We walked down the street to Stigma, a new place I noticed during my girl’s night out.

Stigma was awesome. It’s small place that only serves beer and wine, but they made up for it with an awesome DJ, cool atmosphere, big ass beers…

…and stripper poles.

Morgan and hubs did some hooping.

Don found other interesting things at the bar.

And Lisa and I took pictures of ourselves.

After Stigma, we hit up bar #3. Bullitt Bar.

We took more pictures.

One of the bartenders hooped on the bar.

And then we realized how old and tired we were and it was time to get a cab home.
