Saturday morning, hubs and I went to another Crossfit workout. We did an abs deck of cards workout because that was the only part of our body that didn’t hurt after Friday’s workout. I was given a choice for the 4th exercise: mountain climbers or chopsticks. I picked chopsticks and then hubs said, “you know that doesn’t have anything to do with food, right?” Rude. I am fully aware it doesn’t have to do with food. I picked it because then the whole workout would be lying down. 🙂
Here’s what we did:
The quarter mile runs should be fast. I did my first one at a 7:30 pace and the second at a 7:04 pace on the treadmill. I probably could have gone faster if my legs weren’t already killing me from the lunges on Friday.
I had never done chopsticks before this workout. They are definitely challenging. I should have picked the mountain climbers because I was whining about how hard they were by the second set. Allow me to demonstrate.
I spent an embarrasing amount of time on that. And I swear I looked online for an example before I drew it. It’s like I’m being willed to do more crappy drawings through lack of Google content.
Anyway, I can’t even tell you how sore I am after Friday and Saturday’s workouts. My chest hurts so much from those progressive pushups that the muscle soreness woke me up this morning when I was switching positions in bed. It woke me up! It feels like that first time you work out after years of doing nothing. So, the point of this post was just to bitch about how sore I am. Now someone go do that workout so we can bitch about how sore we are together. Or bitch about something totally random in the comments. You know you want to.
