First, I’d like to say thanks to all of you (and especially David for the over-share) who told me your crazy eating habits in the comments yesterday. You officially make me and Danielle’s Twix eating habit normal. 🙂
Remember how I mentioned that my workplace likes to fatten people up? Well, we had catering from Four Rivers in Winter Park for lunch today. Four Rivers is a BBQ joint that always has a line out into the street and everyone in the world (or at least on my Facebook page) swears by.
You see no one at the tables eating because I’m pretty much at the front of the line.
The eats.
My thoughts.
There are some who feel that I have spoken blasphemy against Four Rivers since trying the food today. They insist that catering is not the best representation of their food and that I need to try the Krispy Kreme bread pudding.
I will take that challenge. They had me at “Krispy.” 🙂
At the end of the buffet line was a table where everyone chose an Easter egg. Then we got the prize written on the paper inside the egg. That’s when my day got a WHOLE lot better.
A dodgeball and sidewalk chalk in an Easter basket?
“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!”
I didn’t even realize what was behind the basket until I got back to my desk.
Peeps!
This basket was MEANT for me. ❤ ❤
And for those of you who are going to ask, no I do not have two purses. The polka-dotted one is an insulated lunch bag.
What is your favorite seasonal candy? (I LOVE Peeps but I can destroy an army of candy corn/candy pumpkins too.)
OK, Paula – won’t ask if you have two purses but WILL ask why you brought the polka-dot lunch bag when you knew you were having BBQ today? 🙂
Oh, the BBQ does not cover “after breakfast snack,” “lunch in case BBQ sucks,” “after lunch snack,” or “pre-dinner dinner.” Gotta put that food somewhere!
Love your style, Miss Paula!
I love peeps but I also love cadbury cream eggs and mini cadbury eggs.
I had mini cadbury eggs for the first time today! oh man. So good.
“There are some who feel…”
If by some you mean the rest of the civilized world, then yes.
Hmm…already people on my FB string that disagree, Jim. (That Star Trek line is totally not as cool when your name is really Jim.)
I did specify “civilized.”
Sorry dood–I gotta go with PDid on this one. I’ve been there twice and have tried several dishes: pulled pork, brisket, cheese grits, collards, Krispy Kreme bread pudding, etc. While none of it was actually bad, it was, for me, utterly forgettable.
i will send you all the peeps i get this year. bleh.
i really like the mellowcreme pumpkins that come out at halloween. YUM
I thought of your blog post from yesterday today… there were cookies left in the teacher’s lounge (I may have had 2) and it was a student’s birthday today and the mother made me eat a cupcake. Okay she didn’t make me, but it was delicious.
And I love cadbury creme eggs. In fact, I may have had far too many this season. I’ve been trying to stay away the last few weeks but I miss them!
I love those creme eggs too. And when it comes to cupcakes, even if someone places one within 10 feet of you, you can consider them “making” you eat it. Consider it law!

That food does look pretty amazing. Too bad it doesnt taste better. (I’m siding with you even though I haven’t had it because you have to have fabulous food taste if you eat your twix like a weirdo!)
CUTE LUNCH BAG!!!
Love the new shirt and necklace on you! My favourite holiday treat is cinnamon hearts. Could eat a tonne of those darn little hearts!
3 things:
1.) you look SKINNY!!
2.) LOVE the dodgeball ref ❤ best.ever
3.) light.the.peeps.on.fire!
peeps not so much, love me some black jelly beans, or if I’m feeling rich I’ll go to See’s for some yummy choc eggs.
Happy Easter to you and you hubs

i hate peeps (and most candy) except for chocolate. i know, i know.
You look great in these pics! I just don’t GET the peeps thing! haha
Chocolate malted mini eggs=crack to me.
I LOVE dark chocolate covered creme-coconut eggs at Easter time. OH! And I found Cadbury ORANGE creme eggs at Target… so I just had to get them to try. I’m hoping they’re as good as they sound. I love fruit & chocolate type candy, especially orange & chocolate and raspberry & chocolate! 😀
