Workout: Ran on treadmill 5.25 miles (46 min – I think), walked 10 min
This turned into an unintentional tempo run. It felt really good to go fast, too. I think taking a day of rest yesterday and eating a cookie, Butterfinger Snackerz, Dove chocolate, nerds, and vanilla tootsie rolls at lunch really paid off.
I took a short walking break after mile 3, but my speed looked like this:
Mile 0 – 1.5: 6.0/6.2
Mile 1.5 – 3.0: 6.6 (my dream half marathon pace)
Mile 3: 6.7
Mile 4: 7.0/7.2 alternating each minute
Mile 5: 7.0
I watched No Ordinary Family during my run. That show is starting to grow on me. Plus, Bret Harrison from Reaper is guest staring and I love him.
Speaking of love. My favorite treat right now is marshmallows dipped in Nutella. This stuff reaches a “graham crackers with cream cheese frosting” level of love with me. I really shouldn’t have it in the house.
Nutella makes everything better. I want to put it on anything just so I have an excuse to eat it. Marshmallows, graham crackers, oatmeal, old batteries, lamp posts. Once I start, it’s hard to stop.
Nutella is like part of the family. I’d give it gifts for Christmas if it had opposable thumbs and wasn’t a plastic jar. I’d take care of it in its time of need.
That wasn’t creepy, right?
Well, I’m off to go watch some TV with my jar of Nutella.
What food do you need to be careful about eating before you realize you’ve consumed 3000 calories of it?
