Workout: Ran outside 15 miles (150 min)
I ran this one with Michelle. SO much nicer having a friend with you when it’s time to pound out 15 miles for the first time ever. This run was for distance, not time, and I think pacing ourselves made the run so much easier. It took us the same amount of time it took to do our first half. Not bad to trying to run slower!
We made a pit stop at mile 3.5, a picture stop at mile 5, and ran into my friend Jason at the halfway point.
See what happens when you won’t let me take a picture of you for my blog, Jason?
He did let me take a picture of his puppies. And by puppies, I mean…well, actual puppies.
I’d tell you more about the run but I think Michelle did a much better recap than I could do over at her blog. Over there you’ll get to see really attractive, sweaty pics of me. And pics of me modeling my Camelbak. Even though it looks like I’m smoking it…
For those of you interested, here is what you use/do:
- 1/2 cup of traditional oats
- 1 cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
- 1 cup of water
- 1 or 2 packets of sweetener (like Splenda)
Cook it on the stove for twice the amount of time as regular oatmeal (so, about 10 minutes.)
It never really got that thick. And I cooked it longer and let it sit longer than what was in the directions. It tasted fine, but I like my oatmeal to look like something you won’t find in a diaper.
With frozen blueberries. And in neon bowls.
My oatmeal blueberries have to be frozen. I like the cold/hot combo big time.
Well, I’m off to be lazy for the rest of the night. Like my bunny who likes to beg for some lovin’ without getting out of the cage.
