In with the New

Nothing like chopping your hair on one of the coldest days of the year. (It was 39ºF coming into work this morning, which might as well be -10ºF by Orlando standards.)

My hair has been driving me crazy lately. Just drying and styling it is like an all-day event that requires bathroom breaks and catered sandwiches for when you get hungry. So it was time for a change. I got a natural ombré to darken my hair a bit (which my friend matched to my roots) and a long inverted bob (that I’ll get more inverted next week now that I know I like it).

Here’s what I look like today (in poor lighting).

I’m not really great at styling it yet. I need a couple days to figure out how to do it. But, it’s so nice (and scary) to get rid of all that hair.

I made the appointment two weeks in advance so I could prepare myself because it took me forever to grow too! But life is too short not to enjoy a nice change every once in a while.

Damn you! I will not cut my hair. I will not cut my hair. I WILL NOT CUT MY HAIR. I have an appointment set up on Saturday because I hate my color right now, but I’m going to try and fight the urge to cut it. I know that short hair just doesn’t work on me anymore (too frizzy/wavy) but yours is SOOOO cute. Love the color too. I’ve been trying to let this white blonde pieces grow out and I want a more golden brown color. Ugh, hair. Why did I start dying it again? I blame you.

He likes it! He’s been wanting me to cut it for a year now. He would love a pixie. He’s a short/dark hair kinda guy.

It looks fantastic! I can’t believe how long it was! I have been growing out a stacked bob and now I am trying to figure out what to do. I am considering bangs but am not sure I want to commit to them. Ugh, decisions. ;)

Love it! It’s nice to have a change. I’m surprised I’ve been able to grow mine out this long without breaking down and wacking it off.
