I’ve Got the Runs

Saturday evening, hubs and I went over to the in-laws for dinner. I happened to be wearing the t-shirt that I bought at The Kills concert last week. When my FIL saw the shirt, he asked me if those were my friends.

Why yes, I screen print my friends on t-shirts and wear them, thanks for asking. Also, does he think I only have two friends? Or, maybe that all my friends look really similar? Because that shirt has multiple pictures of 2 different people. Then my MIL said she thought they were my friends too. Is this a thing? The more I think about it, the more I feel the need to print a shirt with my friend’s faces on them to see if anyone notices. Or maybe I should just put my own face on it. That would be pretty cool.

Later that evening, I took my gigantic pumpkin feet to the gym to try out my new shoes.

Too lazy to take a decent picture? You betcha.

I only did 3 miles but I think they went pretty well.

Mile Pace
1 10:00/9:49
2 9:34
3 9:05

I could feel the stability in the heel at first, but by the second mile I didn’t notice anymore. No pain at all in my right calf (the one I’ve been having the most problem with) and only a little tightness in the left calf. I was just happy I wasn’t limping after this run. So, we’ll call that a win and hope those shoes doesn’t start sucking anytime soon.

Saturday night, the hubs and I went to a few places downtown with Lisa and her hubs, Tom.

It is impossible to get Tom to take a normal picture without a lot of work.

Eh, that’ll do.

There may have been a full drink left on the table once we sat down.

It’s a whiskey and ginger-ale. I’m not going to tell you how I know that. And hypothetically, if I was going to drink a strange drink that may or may not be roofied, just know I wouldn’t have used the straw.

The next morning, I still managed to wake up at 7:30 for a 10 mile run (in my old shoes) with these lovely ladies.

Kelly, Stephanie, Michelle (thanks for the picture, M!), and my giant head.

Our average pace was around 9:35-9:40 for the 10 miles which is way faster than I’ve been running lately and considering the night of drinks before, I’m gonna call that another win. Maybe this whole hydration thing is a hoax. ;-)

So one of the photos shown in one of the “You may also like” section after the main post is actually one Michelle used in her post about this weekend’s 10 miler. How did it know to do that?! And just a PSA, I’m not memorizing you & Michelle’s photos/posts. haha

Loving that new pic of you, hotness! Your shoes may be evil Nikes, but they are neon just like mine, so we are almost shoe twins, which is sweeeeeeeet!

I’ll be sending you a screen printed shirt with various pictures of me on it. Your in-laws will probably think I’m in a band.

But your shoes are so cute cuz they’re pink! Mine are like, basketball player orange. I’m not sure if that’s a real color, but it is now. I’ll be looking forward to wearing that shirt.
