Today is Not My Day

(last night’s) Workout: Martial arts fitness class (45 min) and then a 2 mile run outside

Hubs ran the 2 miles with me.  **pigs are flying**  To say he hates running is an understatement. But during the run, he suggested we do sprints. WTF?

After we got home, I pulled the dead weeds in the flower bed and cut the dead palm fronds off our baby palm tree in front of the house.

That flower bed is ready for some new plants this weekend and I’m oddly excited about it. That’s what happens when you’re 34. You get excited about plants.

By the way, it’s SO much easier to pull dead weeds than live ones. All you peeps that like to garden should have clued me in!

This morning was a total cluster. Since I woke up 2 hours early and couldn’t get back to sleep yesterday morning, it only makes sense that the alarm didn’t go off and I overslept this morning. I didn’t take a shower so I would have more time to take care of the bunny.

She’s so high-maintenance.

After bunny duty, I weighed myself and found that I gained another .6 lbs on top of the 1lb from the weekend.

Then, I broke a glass trying to find the right attachment for our hand-held Dyson.

After cleaning up shards of glass and getting ready for work, I packed my lunch. I looked in the fridge for the jelly for about 10 minutes. I swear I saw it in there but couldn’t find it. So, I texted the hubs to pick some up at the store since he was stopping for snacks before work anyway. When I got to work, I found that I had already packed the jelly in my lunch bag.

Major short term memory fail.

And finally, the pictures on my camera normally save onto my computer as “Picture,” “Picture 1,” “Picture 2,” and so on. Today, they are all saving as “Salad,” “Salad 1,” “Salad 2″…

If I get fired today and the IT department spreads rumors that I have 18 “salad” pictures on my computer, you know why.

Tonight, the hubs and I have a weights workout with our personal trainer. Maybe I can get in a run afterwards if he focuses on upper body. *fingers crossed*

Marathon training starts for me in 17 days (eek!), so next up will be a running gear post. :-)

I’m running my first full! It’s the Savannah Rock n Roll in November. :-)  I have 3 halfs after the full too. And a 15k before it. < —- addicted to racing

Funny about the salads! ;) I don’t remember what I used as my email address before…so…if I get a new picture, I’ll know this wasn’t it! ;)

Anyway…funny you forgot about the jelly location…I do that a lot. I walk with such determination to go get something from another room…and then boop…nothing. I have to walk back look around and presto remember what I was going to get. D’oh! And I’m only 32…lol! It’s starting early in us youngsters!

Nope, I used this email addy, that’s my crazy red open-mouthed hands this way and that tailed icon! :)

Oh my gosh…that salad thing cracked me up! Computers always amaze me with what they decide to do.

Sounds like you had a rough morning, hope the day improves! I’ve totally been there. At least you didn’t spill a full cup of carnation instant breakfast on your lap on your way to work (yes, I did that a few months back, worst morning yet!). On the bright side, you found your jelly :)

Did you ever wonder if pigs could fly, would there be a hunting season for it? I mean, that’s a lot of free bacon. I could finally tell Texas de Brazil to go to hell with their high prices for my favorite bacon wrapped filet.

As a computer guy, I do have to say, the “Salad” images have me curious as to what setting you may have accidentally modified to cause this. haha

And you never answered “2)” from yesterday’s comment. I see how it is…..used for airport entertainment and then tossed to the side. “Dance Monkey! Dance!” :-)

That jelly move? Totally something I would do.

Also, peeps shouldn’t have a WW points value. They’re like little pillows of sweetness. No calories in that, right? I’m sure the .6 is just water weight. You know, from flying. Not peeps.

The salad thing totally made me laugh! Sorry you’re having a bad day. It’s Whine and Wine Wednesday….so whine on. Then go home and get your wine on. Then all will be right with the world!

I hear that 26.2 gear is fab, according to SR you know

Glad you had a good time in San Diego, love it down there (I’m near SF)

Yes! I’ve seen her rave about it. I just bought my first Lululemon running top that I’m excited to debut. After I’m done recouperating financially from that, I might try out some of the 26.2 stuff. :-)

SF is on my list of places to vacation!

I hope Ms. Bunnypants appreciated your no-shower sacrifice for her. Our cats, on similar sacrifice situations, just stare at us as if to say “uh-huh, and your point is ….?” when the said sacrifice is mentioned.

I hate days like that. Sadly, I also had to skip the shower this morning in favor of making sure the pup got to eat. Priorities and all that. Hope your day gets better!

IT is gonna fire me for 99 photos titled “Blog Pics” at least salad photos sound more interesting. ;)
Glad you stopped by my blog. Your is adorable. I used to live in Orlando, btw. :) Hopefully we can meet up at a FL race this year!!!

woohoo on the marathon training, you rock star! :-) I’m curious about the massive bag of vegetables in your lunch bag. Do you eat that plain, heat it up, dip it in something? I’m always looking for new tips to squeeze in more vegetables in my day.

    • Eat:Watch:Run says

I do 1 of 2 things with it. 1) Mix Chobani plain 0% yogurt with about 1/3 of a powdered ranch (or french onion) packet and dip veggies in there raw. or 2) Substitute that whole veggie bag as the lettuce in a salad and put some turkey, hard boiled egg, and salad dressing on top. Or I could probably use the ranch Chobani dip as dressing too and it would be even healthier. :-)

I buy those bags cuz I’m lazy about cutting up veggies. Sooo, so lazy.

Ah, don’t you love mornings like that?! I had a series of Monday’s like that. Let’s see, first was the dog have explosive poops in the house, then I got rear ended, then the dog set the house alarm off so I had to drive all of the way back home after I had just gotten to work. Luckily, Monday’s have gotten better for me since then!

Ps- woo hoo to you husband for running last night! How come he doesn’t want to run half marathons with you?!

    • Eat:Watch:Run says

He loathes running. He didn’t even really want to run those 2 miles. :-) He just did it because he was trying to get some extra cardio in while he was already in “work out” mode. BTW, thank you for those two words together: “explosive” and “poop.” Definitely a visual going on there.
